History
The International School of Aesthetic Medicine – FIF, in collaboration with the Società Italiana di Medicina Estetica, has been in operation since 21st March 1994, at the General Hospital “San Giovanni Calibita” Fatebenefratelli on the Isola Tiberina in Rome, the Servizio Ambulatoriale di Medicina Estetica (SAMEst – Outpatient Department of Aesthetic Medicine) for the public.
The structure has a dual purpose:
To offer a broader social stratum of the population at hospital rates, being therefore reduced, the opportunity to take advantage of an essentially preventive medicine that is aimed at those who are living their lives in discomfort due to a poorly-accepted imperfection and to offer practical training for doctors enrolled in the School and for graduates.
The Servizio Ambulatoriale di Medicina Estetica guarantees the expertise of high-level Aesthetic Medicine performed by doctors who have undertaken a dedicated and complete training course in the discipline, thus offering patients the broadest safety guarantees in the treatments performed.
33 outpatient doctors, all professors and/or graduates of the Scuola Internazionale di Medicina Estetica della Fondazione Fatebenefratelli per la Ricerca e la Formazione (International School of Aesthetic Medicine of the Fatebenefratelli Foundation for Research and Training), and 10 Techniques in Cosmetology with proven experience in the field, actively operate in the Outpatient Service.
Moreover, with over 20 years of operation and more than 430,000 treatments provided, the Service has acquired a unique experience of its kind.
